Artemis Gaitanos

Artemis Gaitanos graduated from the American Community Schools of Athens and is also a graduate from the National Conservatory of Athens with a degree and diploma on violin and has also earned her degree on Contemporary Vocal Technique.  She is also a graduate from the American College of Greece (Deree College) where she majored in Music and minored in Dance and Theater Arts.  She has taken part in various seminars such as, Jazz Piano Seminars and Contemporary Music Theory with worldwide known Jazz Pianist, Stavros Lantsias and seminars based on the Carl Orff method.

Artemis has been teaching violin and vocal technique since 2004.  In 2008 she started teaching music at the Pierce College Summer Camp.  In 2012 Artemis moved to San Francisco, California where she worked as a Music Therapist, Paraprofessional and as an Intervention Specialist with kids with emotional and behavioral problems as well as with kids with Autism, Down’s syndrome and Intellectual difficulties.  In 2015 she moved back to Greece where she started a special program for Gifted Children with the Hellenic MENSA (High I.Q. Society).  In 2016 until today she is working as a Substitute teacher in the American Community Schools of Athens and also teacher music in the A.C.S. summer camp. Ms. Gaitanos offers private piano, violin, vocal technique and music therapy lessons for Autistic and other Special Needs individuals along with General Educational Students.
